The Datsun Roadster Book™
The Roadster Nose
Mask- The "NoseBag"

In the 1980's we worked with an upholstery shop and some roadster friends to create the only
nose mask (bra) ever developed for the 1600 and 2000 Sports.  We called it a "NoseBag".
When we sold the parts business in 1988 we did not sell the NoseBag information.

In 2008 we are recreating the NoseBag using the same shop that did the masks in the 1980's.
Because they are expensive to produce, the audience is limited, and we need to make at
least 10 to get a good price we need to take prepaid orders before we go into production.

One size fits all.  The sides of the production versions will have cutouts for the 1969 and 1970
sidelights (each side will have two holes).  The pattern for the cutouts is shown in one of the
pictures below.  Sorry, no special orders - all NoseBags will have two sets of holes, need 'em
or not.

We don't like to do business on the backs of our customers but we don't want to get stuck
with $2000 worth of roadster bras either.

We will take prepaid orders - a $50.00 deposit - for the next 60 days (until April 30).  As soon
as we get enough prepaids, we'll order the bras.  If not, you all get your money back.  If all
goes well, when we receive the NoseBags we will send a PayPal invoice for the remaining
balance, $160.00 If you make a deposit you are agreeing to complete the transaction when the
NoseBags arrive.  There will be no refunds if you change your mind - unless you come up
with a buyer to take your NoseBag.

Price will be $210.00 which will include shipping in the 50 US states.  Overseas shipping will
be more and can be quoted before you prepay.

Take a look at the pictures and decide.
The NoseBag is patterned to fit around the parking lights, grille, bumper
brackets, fog lights in the original holes, and the hood scoop.  A black,
fiberglass screen covers the grille and hood scoop openings.
It has been run-tested up to 75 MPH and is stable from fluttering - that's the
function of the stiffeners at the hood scoop.  The NoseBag is secured to the
fenders and front apron using soft metal, bendable tabs inside poly-cotton
sleeves.
It is not much to look at off the car.  It takes about 10-minutes to mount the first time -
until you get the hang of it.  After that about 5 minutes and its on.
The back is lined with white poly-cotton fabric. It is not intended to be a permanent application to
your car.  THE CAR AND NOSEBAG MUST BE CLEAN before you put it on.  Any dirt trapped
underneath will scratch the paint.  The purpose is to protect the front of your paint  job from rocks
and debris.  When wet it must be taken off and allowed to thoroughly dry before putting it back on.
Do not mount the NoseBag to a wet car or a car that has ben painted within the past 60 days.
The holes for the 1969 and 1970 sidelights are marked into the pattern.  Production
versions will have BOTH SETS of holes cutout.  That way one version of NoseBag will fit
any year of Datsun Roadster.
The Nosebag comes with its own storage pouch to keep it safe and clean.  I guess
you could call it a NoseBag bag.
All folded up and ready to stash in the trunk or garage.
For "Buy It Now" using PayPal to make your deposit, please return to
the top of the page.  If enough orders are not received by April 30, all
deposits will be returned via PayPal refund.
By using the PayPal button you agree that you are
making a $50 deposit on a NoseBag with an
additional $160 due before shipping.  It is also
agreed that if the required number of orders do not
occur on or before April 30, 2008 all deposits will be
refunded via PayPal.

The final instalment of $160 will be invoiced via
PayPal when the NoseBags are received and
payment must be completed before shipping.
